I accredit my passion for writing to two college professors during my time at Texas A&M University. One taught hard news — a rigid, no-nonsense kind of woman who wanted us to be precise writers. The other taught soft news — a lighthearted and passionate man, who encouraged us to coax every ounce of raw emotion from an interviewee. Those two personalities combined formed my writing style — meticulous and authentic with a yearn to dive into the unknowns of a story.
